She notices on the news that extra-terrestrial figures have landed not only in the U.S. but around the world, at first Louise seems to want to keep to herself and not have anything to do with the aliens, until a U.S. army general barges into her office and asks her to translate an alien recording. Unable to decipher what the recording meant from the recording device Louise soon finds herself on a military chopper to Montana to see the aliens. The helicopter is where the Theoretical analyst Ian is introduced he is assigned to Louise to help work on alien translation. At the sight of the alien landing they notice a massive, floating, charcoal-colored, slim figure boldly claiming the sky as if a painter took one long, graceful stroke of his black inked brush and drew an almost vertical line down a landscape painting of Montana. Yes, although the film may not be Red Tails or a Neil deGrasse Tyson documentary on the cosmos, but it does contain science, the science of communication and the science of time I feel like the movie is more about humanity understanding each other more than it is about understanding aliens it reveals that if us as a global society put our heads together we can accomplish something bigger. The quality of film was amazing; The cinematography was intelligently put together. The tone of the story was mostly a concerned curiousness as the main characters constantly needed to know something, for example; what can the aliens do? should the army attack? Can we figure out their language? Why am I seeing visions? The composer did a good job with the music choice if you enjoyed the Interstellar sound track you’ll love this one. Also, the actors felt like they belonged to the fictional characters. We’ve all experienced movies with bad actors, well this isn’t one of them. The plot was very interesting! Yes, the movie is literally 2 hours long, however because of the interesting story line it kept my eyes glued to the huge screen and this is coming from someone who falls asleep after 5 minutes of no action in
