No, it is not necessarily more beneficial for Arnold Hospital to become ISO certified than implementing Six Sigma initiative. The reason why becoming ISO certified would not benefit Arnold Hospital than implementing Six sigma initiatives are obvious. First, the ISO 9000 is an initiative that provides guidance for a company to implement certain standard procedure and ensure that whatever their suppliers brings to the company is up to standard. There are several reasons that should not warrant these processes control. The first reason is that a non-tightly control process will continuously enable the Arnold Hospital to exceed customer satisfaction. For instance, the company provides customers with the necessary care because there is an effective process of collecting information from customers and this in-depth survey enables individual employees to have the basic knowledge of what customers anticipates. Obviously, if the management controls all processes, it will be difficult for employees to have access to the information that could enable them to discharge an excellence service to customers. Morbidity is what is unhealthful in people. So, in the case of this hospital, it is imperative to continuously monitor the unhealthful aspect of patients. The reason is that such monitor would drastically reduce the demise of critically ill patients. There is a general sense that hospitals with a high survival rate of critically ill patients have more qualified and experienced medical personnel or practitioners and this assertion is enough to warrant customer loyalty. So these two elements should be monitored continuously in order to respond, attract, and retain customers.

Excellence is the ability to provide services that exceed customer satisfaction. There are five different means Arnold Hospital could thrive towards excellence. The first means is to develop a strategic plan to achieve a balanced set of result. Arnold Hospital could thrive towards excellence if there is an objective to work towards ensuring that their vision of meeting and exceeding the expectation of stakeholders both in the short term and as well in the long term are put in place.
