Army Profession Research Paper

“I am an expert and a professional.” The very reason why we are a unique organization. We often question what it means to be a profession? Professions are not professions simply because they say they are, says Colonel Matthew Moten. It simply means experts certified within the profession, entrusted by the people to demonstrate competence, character, and commitment. The Army of profession was inherited by men and women of this nation to help develop expertise within our formation through complex trainings, knowledge, and practices. To better defend our nation, it was our duty as profession of arms to train and be proficient in order to better serve and defend the Constitution and the interests of the American people. Develop future Soldiers through institutional trainings and leaders with expert knowledge and ethical behaviors. Being a part of the profession of arms requires extensive training. As leaders, we lead, train, mentor, and develop soldiers through organized and systematic training process. Learning to balance your role as a leader in the profession of arms is not easy to do.
