Army Physical Fitness Testing

For my research proposal I will be studying the correlation of sleep and the scores of soldiers on the army physical fitness test. My hypothesis is as follows: “Does adequate sleep lead to better army physical fitness test scores.” I chose this topic because as soldiers, we are required to take a physical fitness test twice a year in order to assess the physical endurance of each individual. Before a physical fitness test soldiers are briefed to get adequate sleep for optimal performance the day of the event. I always make sure I get at least eight hours of sleep, but time after time I have encountered situations of soldiers saying they did not get the adequate rest the night prior. It is required of service members to participate in
