SPC Cartagena achieved the XVIII Airborne Corps Noncommissioned Officer Academy Basic Leader Course graduation requirements with an overall XX.XX% grade. He passed the Army Physical Fitness Test with a score of 243. SPC Cartagena routinely participated in class by inputting articulate, valid, and well thought out points that contributed and enhanced to the overall learning experience of the class, earning the respect of his peers. He displayed a fundamental understanding of both Physical Readiness Training and Squad Drill. During the Situational Training Exercise proved to be a versatile, and capable Noncommissioned Officer by applying the eight troop leading procedures to effectively plan, lead and execute a mission as a squad leader.
