There are a few positions in the army that are accountable for workplace relations, these position work towards increasing the inter-personnel relationship in the army. One of such programs that pertain to workplace relations is the Mentorship program of the army under the Army G1 division. The mentorship program of the army goes beyond the convention chain of command to avail a mentor or mentee to any personnel past or present associated with the army, such as souses, veterans, retiree, etc. (Army G1, 2017) The program offers many advantages to the participant of the program, such as leadership skills, competence, morals and self-awareness.
The importance and value of mentorship is not lost on the corporate world and majority of the organization have initiated and mandated mentorship programs.
