What is the gospel? The gospel is how god can communicate with man, without the gospel there is no bridge to god and man. What does the bible say about the gospel? In 1 corinthians 15:1-2 it states Now I would remind you, brothers,[a] of the gospel I preached to you, which you received, in which you stand, 2 and by which you are being saved, if you hold fast to the word I preached to you—unless you believed in vain. The gospel is hope and is something by which we stand by we are saved. Being a christian is a lifestyle, you have to wake up each morning and life the life, but you also need to understand when you mess up god is right there for you, like it says in romans 23:3 "For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God." He is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance. If god had “picked” people and predestined people then why does this verse clearly state that god wants everyone to repent and he wants to see everyone of his children in heaven? The two advantages of Arminianism is that first it gives everyone a chance to become a christian, what is the point of going to every nation and preaching Christ if we are predestined?. Another advantage that arminianism has over calvinism is that arminianism is will get more people to come to the lord, if the world was taught that christians are predestined and are the “elect” that doesn 't sound like something a non christian would want to get into, they would feel like “well what 's the point? Like it says Ephesians 5:18 - And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit; Are they getting a tattoo that glorifies …show more content…
By rejecting this, some have made shipwreck of their faith, 20 among whom are Hymenaeus and Alexander, whom I have handed over to Satan that they may learn not to blaspheme. This verse reminds us that we can lose our salvation and we can go to hell. In conclusion I believe that the prosperity gospel is a crazy thing and that is something that some preachers use to advance their personal selves and not god 's kingdom. I also believe that free will is what god intended for everyone, he gives everyone the chance to be saved, and not just the “elect”. Christian liberty should be approached with caution and in the right frame of mind and before someone does something that may be in the gray area they should ask themselves “if jesus was watching what would he say”. I believe that a christian can lose their salvation they can 't just cruise to salvation they need to stay faithful through the whole
