Armenia offers many different features and different sides of life. One of the most important traits about Armenia is the culture. The many traditions and rituals that they have. Traditions are all over the world and have been around for many years. Everyone and everywhere do people celebrate their traditions differently but all of them include more than one person, all of them are supposed to be happy and joyful. Traditions are meant for people to reunite. The traditions I will be talking about that occur in Armenia have been around for quite a while. Rituals come from people, friends, family. If we hear of a new one we might want to try it out and do it many years on, that then becomes your own ritual.

They are very big out there. They have many traditions in itself. For example one of the traditions is the red and green ribbon ceremony. The crown that is placed on both the bride and the grooms heads during the ceremony, these were in the colors red and green. These two colors represent life, happiness and peace. The couple getting married deserve happiness and the best for their future. Another tradition of this wedding is how important it is for everyone to enjoy themselves, these weddings have a ton of food, there is a ton of drinking and dancing to celebrate this wonderful day. The brides shoes is very important. When the bride puts on her dress and is all ready, a male friend or male family member has to help the bride and helps out the bride by putting on her wedding heels. This is to show how close the family and people are. Another interesting feature is why Armenians find the birth of a boy a more happier event than the birth of a girl. Birth is very different for all around the world. For example in China they use to have a policy that Chinese couples were only allowed to have one child. It is different for everyone. As for Armenians they find the birth of a boy better than a girl. This is very sad because sometimes women have abortions if they find out that they are having girl instead of a boy.
