Aristotle's Use Of Rhetoric In Everyday Lives

Reaction: During this week's reading I could start to make the connections with the examples Aristotle was using on how people use rhetoric in everyday lives. For example, I find that when I am trying to sell a bicycle the first thing I do is establish a line of credibility with the customer. Inform them that I race and have been doing serious rides for years, as Aristotle points out people generally believe good men more fully and more readily than others. The second is to become friendly with the customer and this feature really comes from the hearers when the speech stirs their emotions. Sales generally don't happen if a customer is angry or hostile. The third and final is the persuasion through speech itself when I have proved a truth or
