Aristotle and Niccolo Machiavelli are widely known for their political pieces and their controversial views. Though one can disagree with these theories and views of the society, one cannot deny that their ideas are still an interesting topic of discussion today. While both political scientist explain as to why society and humans are the way they are, it is obvious that these two have very different positions in this matter but still overall use this to explain the role in both man and woman. Both Aristotle and Machiavelli use the role of nature in their political pieces, but arguments solely based on nature cannot serve an egalitarian purpose. The strength of the leader, the fear of the leader and the control he has over his community, all determined the stability of the society. He explains that humans do not always act selfishly and only on self-interest but it should not be assumed that every time a person acts it is pure of their own interest. This highlights the self and other relationship where the self is more important and the other is put second. He implies that humans are more interested in their own benefits than the benefits of a whole. Human desire and interest will never be in harmony and essentially cause political conflicts. A bad state would be of one where the leader isn’t in control, which is in opposition of Aristotle. Feminist today still face the otherness effects. An egalitarian society is what the feminist movements are fighting for but with this stigma around it is difficult to break these otherness qualities. Where females are still considered second to men and where politics are still overpowered by men. The only arguments that stand in this movement are the nurture arguments, where women hold responsible the otherness and societies view on the self as well for these issues. One cannot simply state that nature said humans are equals, because biology does prove that humans are different but does not prove or disprove of a sex being stronger. Science itself can be bias because humans are the ones conducting and correlating the findings. This further proves that even things that are natural, such as men are stronger can be bias due to the product of society and how men and women are viewed. Strength can be identified through multiple measures not just physical. It is societies molding that needs to be changed and this is prevalent when pieces like Machiavelli and Aristotle surface, it shows that they are the product of their own
