“Aries whatever you do don’t open that jar” said Aries. “Why? Does it belong to you?” asked the curious lad. Aries thought of what to say. Should he lie or should he tell the truth? Ares was pretty good at detecting lies and telling them. Might as well lie to him thought Aries, what could go wrong? “ It contains something very important and I don’t want you to look in it” Aries said. Ares looked deep into his older brothers eyes. Was he lying or was he telling the truth? For a 10 year old, Aries was pretty good at detecting lies. Ares didn’t look like he was telling a lie. “ Okay, I won’t look” Ares promised his stepbrother. “Good. Now bury it back before someone sees,” responded Aries. With that Aries walked back to his chariot and rode back to MT Olympus. Ares sighed. After reburying the jar in its original place, he thought, “I wanted to see what he was hiding but I promised. “ Ares decided to quit thinking about it and just head home before night came. Ares was laying in his bed that night with his mortal parents asleep. That jar was in his mind again. Should he retrieve it or leave it there? His mind settled on the jar. When Ares was half way to the tree something in his mind told him to leave the jar. He ignored it and race
