"I have no use for cowardice pigs in my army!" A gruff voice echoed. Laying the boys lifeless body upon the ground, Arien focused his attention upon the hilltop. "He did not deserve such a fate! You bastard!" Intrigued the King stepped out from behind the wall of thrity or so archers, "And who are you?" he questioned calmly as though nothing had happened. Heart sank, stomach knotted as Arien's angered gaze became one of burning hatred and disdain. "I am Arien! True King of Volsted!" "Ah, your Agor's brat," said the King, as he took a step further down the hill. Drawing twin swords, he gave a wicked laugh, "Come. Claim my throne, that is if you think yourself capable." his laugh becoming a snarl. Consumed entirely by his anger, Arien charged, …show more content…
"Think I can fool your father?" she trilled, her voice rich and young before a chilling cackle whispered from her lips. With her plan taking furition, Seranna took her leave. Leisurely she made her way down the hallway, an ominous glow about her. "Lady Claudine!" called one of the royal guard. The voice of a young man had caught her ear. Hestitating for only a second, Seranna then continued on her way. "Priestess," he called, his hand reaching towards her. Seranna stopped at his touch. Frantic, her eyes darted back and forth, there must be something she could do. But what?" Her eyes lit up as a plan took flight, "Bel cru dej'm," and she began to crumple to the ground. Quick on his feet the guard kept Seranna's now limp body from hitting the floor. "Priestess- Priestess!" he called trying to keep her attention. Seranna coughed, her eyes glassy, "I must warn the King." she said weakly. Unsure of what to do he laid her gently upon the stone floor. His fingers stumbled upon the lid of his flask, as he tried to open it. 'Maybe some water would help,' he thought. She started with one eye barely open at the man. Her spell was working wonders, this fool actually believed her …show more content…
Thank you." "Mhm, anything to protect Claudine." "Well then. Which one of you has the pendant?" Seeing this as an open oppurtunity to stop this before it began. Claudine searched her person for the necklace. But when she was unable to find it, she grew frantic, 'where was it?' "Sire, here it is." called the gaurd who had first made the claim. "I found it in Claudines pocket." "Get her out of here, Now!" Agor's voice seemed almost to shake the very foundation of the castle. The little girl dropped her head, tears now soaking her shirt. She knew in heart that the Claudine who lay on the ground was not the real Claudine, but she had already tried and failed to make the grown ups see. Seranna laughed to herself as Claudine was escorted out of the room. Now she only had the King to worry about. And he wouldn't be a problem. 'Though people may grow suspicious when Claudine is still looking like herself and not Seranna. Carefully taking a look to see if anyone was paying attention, Seranna then cast one last spell, "Al'cree xi." With that any who lay eyes open Claudine shall see
