The assignment Passion Speech was to choose something that I was passionate about and to write an essay on the topic. I was asked to pick something or someone that I was passionate about. I had to write a 300-6050 word essay and give a 3-5 minute speech. I was expected to have the essay complete, and I could include a powerpoint or slideshow, too. In addition, when I did my speech I was expected to give good eye contact, to have had practiced, to give effective visual aids (if I wanted), to have a controlled volume and to have energy when I presented. This assignments relates to others because I’ve given thirty- second speeches when I do TRFs and I already know how to write an essay. The point of this assignment was to get me ready for my future because I’m not only going to be presenting at school, but in a professional setting. This gives me a chance to know what I need to do when you are expected to write a “report” and give a speech about it. In order to receive an “A” on my essay …show more content…
I decided to do my passion speech about Ariana Grande and to show my audience why I love Ariana Grande. I had to choose three things about her to write about and I feel that that was the most hardest decision because to me everything about her is perfect. I finally chose on writing about her voice, her unique fashion sense, and how she cares about everyone, especially her fans. For this assignment I spent about two weeks to complete this assignment. I completed this assignment mostly in class but I did a portion of it at home. In order, to successfully complete this assignment I needed to pick my favorite songs from her three albums that related to her voice being angelic, what Ariana Grande wore when she had a casual day, and I needed to know when the Manchester attack happened. I was expected do a great job, I feel I did an above-average

Performance Assessment Essay for Blugold Semnar When writing this Self-Assessment Essay upon the completion of the Blugold Seminar class, I realized what I truly did get out of this class. I was introduced to the knowledge of joining to the many conversations and debates I will be exposed to in the upcoming semesters and how to connect with these conversations. One of the most significant goals I secured was the ability to understand and apply the key rhetorical terms, specifically invented and situated ethos, in my Segment 1 Rhetorical Analysis.…

The second speech I chose to critique was the male student’s speech on police brutality. This student’s main point in his speech was to argue enforcing regulations and training onto officers will and must stop police brutality. He was able to follow Monroe’s outline well while presenting his speech. In addition he used good examples of methods that can be used to prevent future police brutality. For example, he stated police officers should be forced to wear body cameras, and given proper training on a regular basis.…

Throughout this school year I have shown mastery and improvement on many skills. These skills have ranged from being able to identify, fix, and avoid common grammar errors, to being able to synthesize information into one focused argument. After going through the school year and showing my expertise on these topics through many assignments, I believe that I should receive credit for Sophomores Honors English. The first learning target that I think I have shown a great deal of improvement on was being able to identify, fix and avoid common grammar errors.…

The Literacy Narrative was sort of a trial and error project. I wrote the essay the best way I knew how and hoped for the best grade. I did though get to tackle a more creative aspect of my writing that needed much working on. Since this essay was based on our own experiences, it allowed me to be as creative as I would like rather than being confined to the requirements that something like a research paper would have. Despite this, I still realized that my Literacy Narrative was not my strongest paper.…
