The typeface I am picking is the Arial font. The Arial typeface was drawn in 1982 by designer Robin Nicholas and Patricia Saunders. It was original called Sonoran Sans Serif and was renamed Arial in 1992. Arial was made similar to the Helvetica font design, some say copying it for thickness and height. It started off as a bitmap font. The bitmap were high-resolution laser comp fonts that were used as a starting point to sample down give it a 240dpi or 300dpi font. Arial was original developed from Monotype Grotesque for IBM laser printers. Robin Nicholas with the help of Patricia Saunders co-designed with a team of ten the Arial Font family at Monotype Drawing Studio where the both of them worked. It was Monospaced varieties like Narrow, Light, and Black Rounded. Arial was introduced with Microsoft Windows version 3.1 as a core font until Windows Vista when it changed.

One of the skills that you had to know was how to create the letters freehand and making them accurate. It was the time of the hot metal machines creating the type and precision was key. I think fonts are a like but they really threw the book at Arial. I think every font has a place and that you pick the font that you think will work best in the project that you need it for. Also I am finding that there was not a lot of information on Patricia Saunders even though she has other font she created under her belt. It was almost like she help but a little toward the end of the project, which was wired to
