They developed a technique to interpret the meaning behind comments on online news articles. The analyzation of comments used both quantitative and qualitative methods of measurement. One problem with this analysis is that men are more likely to leave comments online than women, so it may not illustrate the opinion of the greater population. Additionally, people who comment on online news articles often have a penetrating curiosity on the topic, therefore, generating more diverged views than those who do not post. The largest limitation produced in this study is how the researcher only examined the Australian version of Google News in order to generate data. It is important to conduct this study with different versions of Google News because the results may vary around the country.
