By only subjecting Syrians and Iraqis to additional vetting, they are, by actions, labeling Syria and Iraq as less compared to other countries. The SAFE Act allows a lower number of immigrants into the U.S. whereas other countries are not forced to undergo additional vetting. In my view, the SAFE Act sanctions the U.S. with deciding who lives and dies. My point is that by the U.S. turning down or forcing refugees to a longer wait, they are subjecting people to further dangerous threats which could be considered inhuman.
My conclusion, then, is that if the U.S. wants the SAFE Act, they need to implement the act for all immigrants no matter what country they are
