Arguments Against School Vouchers

School Vouchers
This movement provides low income families grants and subsidies to send their children to private school in hopes of minimizing inequality and class discrimination. Parents can also choose to send their children to a school outside of their district. The pros are to help create a more stable and democratic society which promotes freedom to choose where and how children will be educated regardless of their families income and social status. Also, it forces public schools to become more competitive with other public and private institutions, leading to a better education for all of society.
The cons are it is up to the institutions to decide whether or not to accept the candidates/applicants. Another reason behind this movement being problematic is the idea that these vouchers and grants support religiously affiliated establishment which has been a social issue for centuries. The successful completion of this social movement would be altering our social structure by providing more equality based n skill and determination rather the economic standing of before you (familial generations). Society would be altered by adding more competition to students because of a higher numbers of well-qualified children applying for schools rather than only children who have financially stable families. More competition would lead to more drive, greater quality of education and better/more educated society.

These programs have more pros than cons. I think we need more educated society and realistically see how it will benefit most of the families. Every kid deserves a great education despite his/her family’s income. And the only way possible is school vouchers. Topic

The proposal states that public charter schools should be required to "accept and retain proportionate numbers of students of color, students with disabilities and English language learners in relation to their neighborhood public schools. It’s easy for someone to say “how is this going to even affect the student’s”. People will argue that this will only distract the students more than they already are. Everyone should have an equal opportunity to go to a college. The way the government can do this is to subsidize or even pay for a person who cannot pay for themselves to go to college. A program like that is already put in place, and is the FAFSA, or the Free Application for Federal Student Aid. People who apply for this can receive help from the government in order to go to school. Some people would say that this isn’t fair, because the government gives more money to kids who have less money, and gives less money to kids who are more able to pay for college.…
