Arguments Against Recycling Paper

Decent Essays
My position on the issue of whether or not recycling and composting initiatives such as the one described in the flyer should be adopted and put into practice in communities throughout the United States is I am for it. There should be laws you should have to follow to recycle. If there were no laws about recycling we wouldnt have as many things to use and there would be a lot more trash everywhere. People should always recycle and put all paper products into one bin and all plastic and other products in another. This is because if i put paper in a bin with plastic and steel, it wouldnt be right, things wouldnt be recycled right. There should be a law for that. If you break that law you get fined or in trouble; it would help our communities

The way we neglect our ocean with heavy amounts of pollution can potentially affect our lives in a negative manner. Driving cars and the use of plastic is essential to our daily lives, but we use them without the concern for how they are affecting the habitats on Earth. Some people think that the chance that they are doing harm to the ocean is less important to them than cost or inconvenience of fixing a pollution problem. Through sources from researchers and scientists, they have found evidence of pollution caused by the two essential commodities in our lives, plastic and burning fossil fuels. Environmentalists have found solutions to reduce the plastic waste in our ocean as well as attempting to reduce carbon dioxide emissions in the atmosphere…

“Recycling all of your home’s waste newsprint, cardboard, glass, and metal can reduce carbon dioxide emissions by 850 pounds a year” (CU Facts). letting these materials become recycled instead of being thrown in landfills let the rest of the trash decay at the very slow rate it already goes without having to go around the not needed materials. Having these bins could help the already sorta polluted is being clouded by the sand processing machines across the river from pecan plantation. Eliminating as much environmental impact as possible needs to become Pecan and Granburys worry since we 've already put in multiple mining plants, a dam, and even a nuclear power plant. although it may be a little expensive to buy more recycling bins but in the long run the community would save money and the environment keeping less trash out for the garbage man to pick up and more plastics, bottles, and cans filling the bins can help save cost on how many garbage trucks need to come through and the air would become a little more pure.…

Biodegradable waste like yard waste can be collected in a large land field and decomposed using modern facilities and used to manufacture compost which can be sold to farmers for planting. This implies that biodegradable waste can be recycled for other uses unlike non-biodegradable waste like plastics. On this note, Bill Nye advocates for the use of more biodegradable products and recycling of non-biodegradable waste so that the environment is saved from pollution. The non-biodegradable wastes liked papers and plastic bottles can be done away with by reducing, reusing and recycling them as the video states. The non-biodegradable should be dumped in a central place like bins in cities where they are collected in huge garbage trucks which transport them to recycling facilities.…

These are easy things that everyone can do, if you get more people in your house to help it could go by even faster. Bandow states “For instance, producing paperboard burger containers yields more air and water pollution and consumes more energy than does manufacturing polystyrene clamshells. It takes more water to recycle newsprint than to make it afresh”, so why exercise a project that does not even improve our surroundings? It is mind-boggling to think of how much money is spent on programs to carry out Hershkowitz’s allegation that many American’s see using fresh materials, for example: newspapers, destroy habitats of wildlife, but in “Recycling Does Not Conserve the Environment” it explains that when the companies take down the trees, many were planted specifically for that particular reason. Since it is possible to replant trees, choosing against recycling is not as severely hurting the environment like many American’s think.…

Fast food wrappers and cigarette butts are the most commonly littered items and 50% of the time the litterer doesn’t even realize he/ she is doing it (EPA, 2016). By throwing the trash in a garbage and bottle and cans in the recycle bin instead of out the window, the amount of pollution that is affecting our water sources and wildlife will decrease. This will also save time and money spent on trying to clean the litter up.…
