Firstly, licensing parents who want to raise children may be good for population control because it may cause fewer children to be born and result in a reduction in overpopulation. Furthermore, control human population would be helpful in reducing the stress of limited resources. For example, over 50 million kids have died due to hunger and malnutrition in the last 30 years and approximate 10,000 starving child deaths a day (Istvan, 2014), which implies there may be fewer children dead from hunger if population could be controlled by parental licensing and thus we can provide better living standard to current and future people.
We license people who perform dangerous activities to others such as drivers and thus some evidences show the successful of driver license in lessening road accidents and injuries among young drivers (Berg, 2006). Recently, there are more than half a million children damaged by parental abuse or neglect every year (Lafollette, 1980).
