Arguments Against ISIS Statement

An action that the people can take is to get our governments to increase our military forces fighting ISIS. I believe this is an answer to this problem because ISIS won't be able to fight all the soldiers that are coming in, and what we are doing right now, apparently isn't enough. We should also ban pro-ISIS statements from social media, because that is the main way they get people to support ISIS.

Although the United States made the decision to send troops back to Iraq to help the country and its soldiers, it is best that American troops be taken out of Iraq because they need to decrease their involvement in Iraq’s war, they have spent too much money on the war from 2003 to 2011 and helping Iraq to this day. Two of the bigger reasons why the United States needs to stop sending troops to Iraq are because terrorism in the US, both domestic and nondomestic, is rising dramatically. Not only has terrorism been more efficient in the US, but their national security has not been doing a well enough job to prevent terrorists from executing their…

Social Activism A historian named Robert Darnton once said, “The marvels of communication technology in the present have produced a false consciousness about the past—even a sense that communication has no history, or had nothing of importance to consider before the days of television and the Internet” (Gladwell). This quote does an excellent job of showing what social networking sites have ultimately caused in today’s world. In today’s day and age people are using the internet all the time for countless reasons. Using the internet as a source of advertisement attempting to reach the maximum amount of people in the most convenient and cost efficient way possible.…

It's a simple answer a small group of people who are using the peaceful religion of Islam as a platform for their violent crimes, which creates fear in countries like America where there are five to eight million Muslims residing. This strategy of fear that they use seems to be working since United States candidates for president are using that as their platform for the presidency. These politicians use the media as their platform to sell their ideas of how to stop terrorism, which causes fear in Muslim Americans who are parents. The parents have to first explain to their children what the Islamic state is and how to keep themselves safe against anti-Muslims activists. Recently the American Council on American-Islamic relations released an “A…

The issue is the use brainwash to recruit terrorists. Brainwash is the intense way people get into your mind and change your way of thinking, beliefs, behavior, and attitude (Garden, Science, Mind & Brain, n.d.). Big terrorist groups like ISIS and Al-Qaeda are using this strategy to attract innocent people into their group. The brainwasher starts a conversation offering advice, support, or friendship ("What ISIS Recruitment Can Teach Us About Brainwashing", n.d.). From my point of view, I think using the power of social media is worth mentioning. Jane McGonigal said, “We do not want to try to predict the future. What we want to do is make the future.” She said that future is on our hand and don’t just stand there watch and foreseen what will happen in the next century. People, who take responsibilities for the future must act together every single day to change our future.…
