In order to assess the articles ability to effectively convey that homework is an essential element of children’s success in education, one must look at the arguments provided. Due to the thoroughly explaining the aspects of the argument that are for homework and explaining the aspects of the arguments that are anti-homework, this article Teacher’s Defense of Homework effectively argues why homework is essential to our education system. Students in countries with a high educational standard may not be assigned as much homework as American students, however “they do plenty of homework anyways” and attend “after-school programs that prepare” students to succeed inside the classroom.
