It may seem obvious, but it is so important to note the impact Party Representatives have on their constituents. As Americans are so busy supporting themselves and the ones closest to them through schooling and working, many do not have time to get thoroughly involved in educating themselves in the politics around them. These ill-informed, easily manipulated self-interested citizens are most often the outcome of a phenomenon you might have heard of called polarization in which the Parties are drifting farther apart: there are more people labeling themselves as extremist supporters and less people falling in between Parties. With this also comes the Free Rider Problem; people are often not contributing or voting because they - rationally - feel their vote doesn't matter and they will gain benefits from their fellow Party members who do have time to vote. …show more content…
I propose you become the face of Republicans for anti-gun and gun restriction laws. Seeing someone labeling themselves as Republican and publicly showing support against dangerous weapons has the potential to change so many people’s minds regarding the subject, or even make them feel more comfortable in publicly expressing their similar ideas that not have been accepted otherwise.
