Gun control has made a serious feud, but to me and many others it is very important that we honor the fact that citizens need to defend themselves. We need to preserve our second amendment, and have the right to bear arms. The headlines we don’t notice, are the ones that justify how a gun has saved someone’s life. Did you know that there have been over 2.5 million cases where citizens have used their gun to defend themselves? And on top of that, did you know that only eight percent of those cases actually shot their attacker? Yes, I do believe that we need to ratify some gun laws. Therefore, the 28th amendment is going to stand for why we shouldn’t have so many restrictions on gun control.
Just as the second amendment protects the citizens rights to bear arms, the twenty-eighth amendment will do the same. There’s one big major factor that many citizens believe should be ratified. If a young man at the age of eighteen can be drafted into war, he shall then be able to obtain a gun permit. Every person will still have to receive a Federal background check.
