Arguments Against Gun Control Laws

Most bad news today often reports shootings and murders due to the fact that guns are given with less strings attached. Guns tend to give people the illusion of power and capability over evil activities. If guns had more safety requirements, most of societies violence issues wouldn’t exist such as, public shootings and murders of one another. Guns are supposed to be used as defense, not as revenge, says the law. When most people think of a gun, they think of violence, death and danger. Other people see guns as an opportunity to destroy. Many researchers said they believe that background checks will keep guns away from a significant number of violent people and or criminals, and the experts said they disagree with the perception that in the United States guns are used in self-defense immeasurably more often than they are used in crime. An author, Christopher Ingraham made a statement that “For every gun used for self-defense, six more are used to commit a crime.” This represents how common crime is being committed six times more than self-defense. …show more content…
