According to a report released by the National Rifle Association, most of guns are used for self defense 2.4 million times a year. Apparently, the police are not capable of protecting everyone all the time. Among people who were survey by Pew Research, 60% of women and 50% men said that having stricter laws in place would make it difficult for people to safeguard their homes.
