Arguments Against Cloning Research Paper

Cloning has always been very controversial and has always caught the attention of a handful of people. It’s been debated everywhere, ever since they began their first experiments of cloning. From the first time they started cloning animals, we all knew the next big thing was going to be cloning humans. To some this is a positive thing to do, but to others they question if human cloning is allowed in our society. With all the attention towards cloning it’s developed into more than just a simple disagreement, but into an argument that has created two sides. One against cloning and one that says cloning is okay. Due to my religion, I disagree with cloning, well, with any type of cloning that it. Whether it is reproduced or therapeutic. Being a Roman Catholic, many people of my religion have opposed to any type of cloning. In this case, reproductive cloning. In my opinion I disagree with this type of cloning because I believe it is flat out wrong. Cloning a person or even an animal is interfering with God’s plan and what he intentionally created us for. If we are cloning, we are creating something God has never planned on making. Since we believe that life begins at the moment of conception as soon as the soul gets into body, we believe this should be the only way that is …show more content…
I believe applying any technology on a human could be taking the flaws away from nature. Anything that is created with good intention will find it ways to destruct consequences. Like taking away the dignity of a child of God. We are responsible to keep a ways of life still. Religion has took a big part against cloning to this day. Mainly because it’s just not the way things are supposed to be. “In therapeutic cloning, the nucleus of a cell, typically a skin cell, is inserted into a fertilized egg whose nucleus has been removed.” ("MedicineNet.com." N.p., n.d. Web. 12 Dec.

To me, this sounds like the best scenario a pro-cloning can present to win his case, but is it?? From what we know, Religion from day one, stood very clearly against cloning other humans, it seen the whole process as unnatural selection,, nothing like it has been witnessed in nature, it seen it as a great offense against GOD, the human dignity and equality. Are they right? Or is science is just advancing faster than we are able to keep up?…

Like stated above, a problem that occurs more often than none, is that the body rejects or attacks the organ. The immune system recognizes that the organ has different cells, and starts to attack it. This is obviously a major problem, that could easily be fixed of the cloning of organs and human body parts. Although this is the easier and more cost effective option, many don’t like the fact that embryos are used in this process. It is a valid option, but it would be the smarter to clone instead of transplants.…

I, however, disagree with people and I will tell you why. I will go over both why I think cloning is a good idea as well as why I don’t think it’s inhumane. First thing first there are many reasons why I feel cloning is a good idea, one of these reasons is because of endangered species. With current methods, we are able to stop a few species from going extinct however there are still a lot of species that die off and there is no way to save them. However, with cloning, as long as there are at least one male and one female we could save every endangered species.…

Many people think cloning is wrong based off of moral decisions. Cloning children would show people that they can now be designed according to the parent’s wishes. Critics fear that children created through somatic cell transfer would have unfair expectations of having the talents or achievements of whoever provided the DNA. The child would have to live up to those expectations. “Imagine discovering that you are the clone of a child your parents lost, and you live your life always being compared to the dead child,” claims Natasha Quinonez.…

Cloning has started around the 1950’s and is still currently going on today. Human cloning of any kind should be banned; the thought that humans have the resources to create and produce life is disturbing; scientists imitating creation is beyond me and unethical. “cloning for the replication of human individuals is ethically unacceptable and contrary to human dignity and integrity” ( Birnbacher 2005). The positive arguments to cloning are having a genetically related child, cloning and savior siblings, cloning to replace a “deceased” child and the loss of therapeutic cloning through SCNT. For couples who are unable to procreate through contraception, would enjoy the chance to be able to clone to have a genetically related child. It can be an idea for if the mother, father or even both are unable to procreate to have a child. Including if a single mother or homosexual couple wanted to have a child they would be able to. Cloning and Savior Siblings is an argument that is not fairly new to conceive another child to use the organs or bodily fluids to save an older child from illness or death.…
