Captain Capitalism says this is not all that lousy, to him it is to make it as an entrepreneur than “climbing the ladder” at a big company. So instead of having the mindset of becoming CEO some day, focus on securing enough money for retirement or to start your own company. Your mind should be on getting paid to secure a better future not to work hard and hopefully get promoted.
What if you have a job where you can actually climb the ladder? There are many stories of CEO’s that started from the bottom. Sure that may be from some years back but the chance to work your way up is still there. Captain capitalism proposes the idea to stay in that lousy job until you earn enough money to start a company or enough for retirement, but I wonder… why are people complaining about their jobs? The whole point is to make money. Everyone knows that you will not get your dream job right away, you have to work for it, prove that you are capable of climbing that ladder. Until you reach that job that you worked so hard for, you have to put in a little more, come day in and out even if your job is to make copies, you are still getting paid and eventually your hard work will be recognized. Whatever you choose, either save money to become someone you actually want to be or work your way to be that person, just know that like Captain capitalism said, you are not guaranteed
