Bullshit is everywhere, especially on the internet, movies, media, social media, forums, TV channels, news channels, etc. We're surrounded by bullshit. I don’t like bullshitters or liars, especially when I catch them, and I know I will catch them. You can bullshit yourself, your boss, your family members, your friends, your teachers, your co-workers, but eventually you will get caught.
There is no question about it that there is a lot of bullshit out there. Much of it comes from social media. When I say social media I mean like Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Instagram, Yahoo, etc. Teenager’s nowadays care about how many friends they have on Facebook and how many

In "On Bullshit in Cultural Policy Practice and Research: Notes from the British Case" Professor Eleonora Belfiore explores bullshit in politics and why it is prevalent particularly in politics. Belfiore begins with a differentiation between bullshit and lying, "...lies a bullshitter who is intentionally misleading his or her interlocutors so as to pursue his or her own interests" (38). This is the main difference between lies and bullshit, she claims where lies are unintentionally deceiving, bullshit is intentional, leading to it being more detrimental to those on the side being misled. On Bullshit is a 1986 essay written by Princeton University professor Harry Frankfurt in which he attempts to define the idea of bullshit and explain the cultural use and context behind it. Using a variety of sources, including the Oxford English Dictionary as well as other older essays, Frankfurt examines the use of the term bullshit and how it simply cannot be replaced with another word, especially “lie”. Frankfurt begins by stating that, “…we have no theory,” or any other formal writing on the word “bullshit” because of its crudeness, despite being a widely used saying. As such, he dives into examples of bullshit’s use and how these can define the meaning of bullshit. One example of bullshit that Frankfurt gives is an anecdote about philosopher…
