Why Animals Shouldn't Be Tested On What?'' animals are being tested on, this is not right or fair! First, you see, animals feel pain just like us. According to Amy Cameron ''…
Animals all around the world are used for testing and research. People always wonder why people use animals. They ask why would scientist put these innocent creatures through something horrible. It has been proven that scientist use about 100 million animals for testing and research each year. From personal research, I have seen many inhumane things happen to these creatures that should not happen.…
Animal research or animal testing “refers to the use of animals in experiments within academic research or commercial establishments,” (Swami 269). While the topic of animal testing has a tendency to brew several disputes with its controversial properties, it is no doubt an intriguing one. Examining the positives and negatives of animal examination would certainly cause one to question whether or not animal testing should be permitted, and if it reflects practices of animal abuse. Although there are downsides to animal testing, it should be allowed due to the precautions for human safety. Other than human protection, these studies provide job opportunities for further science research.…
Is animal testing right? Animal testing is very important for use today. Without animal testing many cures today would not have been able to be cured. By using animals to test on human product we have greatly benefited from them over the years. There are multiple things that animals testing do for the animals like saving human life, dose not cause destress to the animal, and we greatly benefit from all the animals that have contributed to the testing.…
Animal testing is not justifiable, animals should not be used to test substances that are established without knowing the outcomes and consequences for it. Animal testing is not necessary. It leads to serious deaths of millions of animals. “More than 100 million animals every year suffer and die in cruel chemical, drug, food, and cosmetics tests as well as in biology lessons, medical training exercises, and curiosity-driven medical experiments at universities”(www.peta.org ). In addition animals have feelings as well.…
First animal testing puts animals at risk. Supporters of animal testing say, “at least it’s not putting humans at risk”, but it actually is. If animals start dropping in population that one less double bacon cheeseburger you’ll have to eat. The animals that are tested on the most include mice, as the most common, followed by fluffy rabbits, innocent cows, cute pigs, cats, dogs, and the list goes on and on. Companies who use animals as test subjects include L’Oreal, Estee lauder, Procter & Gamble, Clorox, Johnson & Johnson, S.C Johnson just to name a few.…
Every animal has the right to live, there isn’t a hierarchy in which humans are at the top. Humans have no rights to take away a life of an animal just for improving their life. Humans and animals can be looked at as very similar in that they both feel pain. In an ad campaign to stop animal testing by Lush it depicts a women being experimented on as if she was a live rat. This shows what an animal has to go through when being tested upon.…
Adam Christian Mr. Sidella English 4 May 8, 2018 Animal Rights: Animal Experimentation The government needs to establish and enforce stricter regulations for animal experimenting, or end it if possible, to protect these living beings from the torture and pain that is inflicted upon them. Animals are subject to treatments and experimented on “in the name of science.” However, a lot of these experiments are conducted under terrible conditions, and the results cannot even be applied to human medicine and health. Also, with all of the advancements in technology we have made in recent years, we have plenty of alternative testing methods that we could use instead of animal experimenting.…
Animals are one reason we are so happy. They love and care about us so why should we test drugs and medicines on them? I think that animal testing is wrong and inhuman. These poor animals are being killed or kept captive for this.…
Would you rather have humans die or animals die? This is why I think animal testing is right. There are many test that need to be done to check if something is okay to be used for many others. If we are against animal testing many humans each year would die. Animal testing has led to medical breakthroughs.…
Animal testing is known as different procedures made in animals (rats, hamsters, rabbits, pigs, sheeps, cats…) in order to help research of the success in medicinal new products, test the human health in different environments and the efficacy of several beauty products. This kind of experiments can help the humanity to advance in research, but the truth is that these animals suffer of food and water deprivation, genetic manipulation, exposure to drugs or chemical toxicity. Finally, this animals are killed after the research. Many environmental groups fight against this practice and argue that scientists are ought to use other methods to proceed their researches and experiments without using animals.…
Recent studies have revealed that more than one million animals die every year due to animal experimentation. Testing is legal in more than eighty percent of the world. There are extremely few countries that are cruelty free or are working on being cruelty free such as, The United States, Taiwan, Canada, Brazil, Australia and others. More than one million animals die due to experimentation. People have created organizations like PETA (people for the ethical treatment of animals), CAAT (center for alternatives for animal testing) and the ECEAE (European coalition to end animal experiments) do everything in their power to prevent more countries from supporting animal testing and cruelty.…
In essence, animal rights is the idea that non-human animals should be treated with respect as an individual with inherent value, and the belief that they are entitled to the possession of their own lives. However, with the increase in demand for new cosmetics, pharmaceuticals and the need for medical research, these rights have been violated by the act of animal testing. I will argue that animal testing shouldn’t be a method we adopt. In support of my claim, I will offer three reasons. Firstly, it is cruel and inhumane to do testing with harmful consequences on animals.…
4.2 Justification for animal tests When required to make proper provision to ensure human safety, animal testing to enable the proper biological characterization of materials used in medical devices is acceptable. For the purposes of the ISO 10993 series, animal tests shall only be deemed to be justified when: the resulting data are not otherwise available, but are essential to properly characterize the test material in the context in which it is to be used; when no suitable scientifically validated test method not involving the use of living animals is reasonably and practically available; when relevant reduction and refinement strategies have been identified and implemented including, if appropriate, obtaining test data from manufacturers…
Now days, society can volunteer themselves in clinical drug research for a monetary exchange. With modern science “we can see inside peoples’ brains using imaging machines or test microscopic amounts of new drugs harmlessly on volunteers.” (BUAV.org the campaign to end animal experiments, pg 7) Humans are more willing to volunteer themselves for the money, but also because strict health and safety precautions are put in place for their well-being at all times during the study. Humans can also communicate their side effects and pain occurrence which provides sound and optimal results for future modifications and or dosages. Unfortunately, animals cannot communicate these important factors, which in turn is useless.…
