Animals go through it all in laboratories its like an animal jail but not only are they locked and poorly fed but even tortured to the point of death. The People of Ethical treatment for animals state that “The animalssuffering begins even before they reach the vivisectors’ hands when they are ripped from their families and forced to live in bleak conditions” (1). According to the Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine animals such as rats have been used abundantly but they absorb things like iron differently from humans and give no real usable information (1). Many animals and rodents have been tested on for for products to help humans, thinking the results would be the same for animals as well as people but many have been proved wrong. Much of the testing has actually been proven useless, as the results do not prove to be accurate. The People of Ethical treatment for animals state that “The Food and Drug Administration reports that 92 out of every 100 drugs that pass animal tests fail in humans” (1). There are many people that think testing these possibly dangerous products on innocent animals is not a big deal, but this paper will inform the public with some statistics and also give you the writer's perspective on why animal testing is wrong. People, especially scientists, are hurting innocent animals that did no harm to anyone. Animal testing shouldn't be allowed to happen because animals are getting hurt, they are not protected, and animals get mistreated. One reason that animal testing shouldn’t be allowed is because animals are getting hurt. For instance, the Draize eye test involves rabbits having their eyelids clipped open for as long as multiple days so that they don’t blink the product being tested away. Popular cosmetic brands like L'oreal, Lancome, Estee Lauder, and S.C. Johnson are used on animals.…

Animal Testing “Ninety-two percent of experimental drugs that are safe and effective on animals fail in human clinical trials because they don’t work or are dangerous” (“Animal Experimentation Facts”). This statistic shows animal testing is too inaccurate to be used and animals are not the same as humans. Even though animals are much different than humans, there are people who think testing drugs on the animals the right thing. When a scientist is testing a new drug they will inject the animals; such as rats, fish, monkeys, etc.; with diseases they wouldn’t naturally get and then giving them the certain drug they are testing for. When scientists are testing new cosmetic products one of the things they would do is shave the skin and rub a substances…
