Animal activists are trying to save animals and their rights. In a Youtube video from CNN, two anti-animal testing people and two pro-animal testing people had a debate if animal testing is necessary. Tom Holder spoke out that animal research has been able to save people with cancer and that people need a better understanding of it. Peter Young stated that animals deserve their freedom and have a brain just like humans. Cutting open animals is pointless and puts animals to suffer. He says that scientists act as the victims while they are the ones victimizing the animals (Animal Liberation).

Animal testing has become one of a number of controversial issues because of the effects that it has on animals. Supporters of animal testing justify these effects because they believe that animal testing is the only way to find new cures for diseases. Research that has been done on this matter has proven it to be an ineffective way of finding cures. Furthermore, the reason why animal testing should not continue is because it leads to animals having psychological problems, dwindling of the number of endangered animals and cures that have been proven on animals do not work on people.…

Animal Research is, has always been, and will most likely continue to be a delicate subject. The use of animals in research ranges from cosmetics to medical and wherever there are animals being tests there are groups of people arguing the morality and ethics of the testing being done. Excluding cosmetics and the like for now (that’s a different argument), the use of animal research in neuroscience is absolutely necessary and though it is a sensitive issue, there are ways to make it more ethically acceptable and to protect the animals themselves from blatant cruelty. Today, animal research is more humane than it has ever been.…

Any cosmetic or medical companies will tell consumers that their products are the best since it has been tested on animals for safety, but the truth behind animal testing will make buyers think twice about their merchandise. Nowadays, more and more people are teaming up against animal testing. Laboratory testing is done on substances that make up medication and cosmetics, such as perfume, lotion, soap, etc. Animals are used to develop medical treatments, determine the toxicity of medications, and check the safety of products destined for human use. Substances are injected into animal’s bodies to prove that products are harmless to people, and the environment.…

For most people there are two scenarios that come to mind when they hear animal testing. The first scenario is that scientist are torturing, neglecting and abusing the animals that are being tested on. The other scenario is that scientist are being ethical, take care of the animals and are creating life-saving medicines. This makes the use of animals in experiments a controversial topic; a topic that isn’t quite black and white when argued. There are different types of animal testing like, medical testing and cosmetic testing; one is more ethical than the other.…

On average, about 26 million animals are taken and used as little test subjects for big corporations to test their possibly harmful, and occasionally lethal, products before they release them to the public's use. This testing on animals began in 500 B.C and many corporations that participate in it see no harm, and have absolutely no intentions of stopping it anytime soon. There are many people that think testing these possibly dangerous products on innocent animals is not a big deal, but this paper will inform the public with some statistics and also give you the writer's perspective on why animal testing is wrong. One thing that is very arguable when talking about whether testing on these creatures should be approved, and continue or…

The debate surrounding the use of invasive animal research has been ongoing throughout history. Proponents of the practice are quick to point out the multitude of benefits that have emerged from the practice such as the cures and vaccines to major diseases such as polio, and their capacity to continue to do so in the future. Opponents often claim that the moral status of these animals deem it morally impermissible to do any time of research that can harm them, no matter what the benefits for humans may be. This is especially true in the argument against invasive chimpanzee research. Chimps share similar genetics with humans and have been shown to exhibit an array of emotional responses similar to those of humans, but this does not necessarily…

Imagine your family pet being enclosed in a small, cold, and dirty cage for days, weeks, or even months on end, only being taken out to be subjected to painful experiments without any anesthetic, as well as the possibility of developing life threatening diseases and injuries. Too many animals experience this on a regular basis around the globe - in fact, nearly 25 million animals will be used as test subjects annually. Animal testing is a horrible occurrence, one that brings suffering to even the smallest of creatures. Many people do not know the extremes of the effects of this practice, which are unnecessarily painful to animals, or that alternatives do exist, and that the results are not always accurate and time/cost effective. Experiments…

Research Format Essay Animal Experimentation Animal Experimentation is wrong in many different ways. Did you know that 21% of animals that go under intense experimentation die? Animals such as mice, rabbits, and pigs are used to undergo experiments for human advancement. These living things deserve to live pain free lives just as much as we do. This is not always thought of because as stated by Jeremey Bentham of neaves.org “many project call for immobilization of a body part or the entire body itself”.…

Animal Experimentation Animal experimentation has been around for many centuries. Humans perform these experiments on all species of animals to find different effect of a product it could have on a human. Three advantages in particular advantages are, it helps scientists gain a better understanding for cures of different diseases, this practice makes a vital advance in medicine, and for the expense of treatments and cures animals should not have rights when it comes to research. Although there are many advantages to animal experimentation, there are also disadvantages which include, there is no benefit for the humans, it is cruel, and is dangerous for humans to be treated only after a trial on animals. The first advantage to animal experimentation is using animals like rats can help the scientist gain better knowledge for different…

In human history, it was necessary to use animals so they could provide society with knowledge and safety of different chemicals, products, and substances. They didn’t have advanced technology and equipment society has today, so they had to use the resources given to them by nature (About). With new advancements in technology, the against side thinks scientists should stop animal testing because society can not continue and make new progress by using past methods no longer helping to improve society (Torres). It is true that many people are against animal testing as there are many reports of cruelty towards animals in animal research and testing which are always shown in newspapers and other forms of social media. However, without any form of testing and research on animals, humankind and the animals themselves would probably be wiped out by dangerous and deadly diseases. Ethical experiments on animals that respect the law and rights of the animals have benefited greatly for the species of mankind and also animals themselves as there are many common diseases that humans and animals share such as cancer, high blood pressure, epilepsy, asthma and others. If we, as a modern society, ignore the importance of animal research and testing and by boycotting it, we will be endangering ourselves as we cannot do much research and test for medicines and cures against…
