I am against animal experimentation, cruelty, and I don’t think animals should be used in circuses, or abandoned. Thousands of animals die from being left out on the streets and starve or get killed from being abused or forced to fight other animals. Zoo owners and factory farm owners are affected by the leading issue. The main controversies are people who think animals are used for entertainment or to keep animals in farms. Events that are related to this issue are animal cruelty, animal experimentation, factory farms, zoos, and hunting. A question I will answer or feel comfortable answering is “Should animals be used for experimentation.” I don’t think we should use animals for experimentation. In circuses animals get whipped in order for them to learn tricks, such as lions. The tamer whips them to listen and obey him. Circus animals do not willingly stand on their heads, jump through rings of fire, or ride bicycles. They don’t perform these tricks because they want to and they don’t do any of these meaningless acts in their natural habitat. The only reason circus animals perform is because they are scared of what will happen to them if they don’t. Animals should not be left or trapped in cages they should at least be given some time outside. Another argument is animals shouldn’t be in zoos. If the zookeepers treat the animals wrong the animals will get angry. If the zoo has low fences and the animals are really angry or mean they may get out and harm people. Most zoos already give animals a natural habitat but sometimes it’s just way too small for animals. I also think that marine animals such as fish and turtles shouldn’t be in zoos because kids like to hit or tap on the glass that hurts their ears and may hurt their heads.
