Abortion is defined as the "premature expulsion of the fetus from the womb," one of the most controversial issues of today's society. The question, "Is it morally right for a woman to end her unwanted pregnancy," has been the leading cause for much of the hostility and tension from both sides of the political fence. Sadly, those who support abortion do not acknowledge it as a moral issue, but rather an issue of personal freedom. Although I am a major advocate of personal liberties and am wary of the government's invasion into one’s personal life and privacy, I am opposed to abortion, and support any efforts used in protecting the unborn.
