Should salvation be endorsed to all members of a society?
An argumentative synthesis writing is a kind of an essay which requires the writer to come up with strong position which should be drawn from the a given number of resources which should be the center of reference for the position taken. This writing is drawn from two sources; John Swales ‘The concept of disclosure community’ from the list of disclosure communities canvas and the MFW list ‘Salvation’ on 230 by Langton Hughes. In both resources, John Swale through his writing describes the characteristics that a disclosure community is likely to develop, as the second source Langton Hughes gives an example of a disclosure community which exist in a Christian community setting. The story by Langton Hughes describes a community whereby individual lifestyle is predetermined. Those that have received salvation end up spending time praying and preaching to sinners. This makes the saved group to identify itself as a disclosure community which has set written principles which they respect. The saved community from the source given, has changed its lifestyle and adopted a salvation lifestyle. They saved community end up spending their nights in churches seeking divine guidance a time which they should be resting to get ready for the next day’s activities. Someone who spend the night in a church cannot be fully efficient in their work place ending up being poorly economically productive. In my opinion, becoming a member of the disclosure community group of those that have received salvation should not dictate how you spend your days and nights. This however contradicts with the expectations of salvation, which in my opinion should not be endorsed to the members of the
