How often do you choose fast food over nutritious food? How often do you eat junk food? How often do you exercise? Do you have extra body fat that you are trying to lose? The best way is to combine diet and exercise.
Did you know that the UAE is the fifth most obese country in the world? A senior doctor at the UAE Ministry of Health said about 44.5 per cent of the women in the UAE could become obese in three years. (Saberi, 2012). Diet is an eating plan in which someone eats less food, or only particular types of food, because they want to become thinner or for medical reasons (Cambridge, n.d.). On the other hand, a healthy diet should include the six food nutrients that the body needs which are cabs, protein, fats, vitamins, minerals, and water. Water is extremely important because it the second most important thing our body needs after oxygen. A hugely popular and effective diet in the modern day is the blood type diet. According to webmd.com, the blood type diet is created by Peter J. D’Adamo, claims that the food you eat reacts chemically with your blood type; if you follow a diet that is designed for your blood type, your body will digest food more efficiently (Jacobsen, 2013). So what should you eat? It depends on your blood type. Here's what D'Adamo recommends for each type: For a person with a type O blood: A high-protein diet heavy on meat, fish, and vegetables, and light on grains, beans, and dairy. A person with type A blood: A meat-free diet based on fruits and vegetables, beans, and whole grains; ideally, organic and fresh.
