My mother had struggle a lot through life. She could never find a man that treat her the way she is supposed to be treated,like a queen. It forced her to work even harder for us. My mother didn 't know there was welfare or that she can receive help from the government. She found out later on. She tried to get help, but they said no because her two hundred and eight dollar paycheck was enough for the both us.
The strong and hard working women that my mother is, she got herself an apartment in New York (mind you rent in New York is not cheap)and paid for babysitting, food and etc. In 2004, I finally met my older sister. My older sister decided to live with me and our mother, however the second oldest decided to stay with her dad in New Jersey. A year later my sister found out she was pregnant at age 17. At age 18, she had a baby boy and became a single mother as well. So my mother finally received helped and got food
