Why should Americans conserve energy?

Americans should conserve energy because, it won’t just save them money, but it will also help the Earth. On average, Americans use 10,812 kilowatt hours (kWh) per month. Just by turning off the lights or shutting the refrigerator door will save a lot of energy. Keeping the lights on, when not needed is like wasting money on nothing. It is not good for the Earth because, all most all of the energy sources we depend on like coal, and natural gas, can only be used one time. So once we use them up, there all gone. Coal and natural gas is a nonrenewable resource.
People are now making energy-efficient appliances. These appliances will help you save energy by not using as much energy when they run. By buying

The United States Should Restrict Carbon Emissions Since the beginning of the industrial revolution in the eighteenth century, the concentration of carbon dioxide has risen significantly to levels of up to forty-three percent. The combustion of fossil fuels is the reason this build up has been on the rise. The burning of these fossil fuels releases carbon dioxide, which is a major greenhouse gas (GHG) and is believed to be the major cause of global warming experienced in the recent past decades. Temperature records around the world show that there is a rapid increase in the surface temperatures because of the effects of carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gas emissions like nitrous oxide and methane. The use of the word climate change helps to convey changes in climate which do not only include rising temperatures but other…

With the United States being the second largest contributor of burning fossil fuels in the world, a new source of energy is overdue. About 86% of the country’s types of energy sources originate from fossil fuel consumption and other closely linked greenhouse gases. Some of these emissions include carbon dioxide, methane and other harmful gases. Without an alternate source of energy the atmosphere will continue to trap higher amounts of toxic gases and eventually won’t be capable of providing enough oxygen for us to breathe.…

Have you ever noticed the air temperatures getting warmer, storms being much larger than they used to be? These are effects of global warming because the amounts of fossil fuels that we burn on a daily bases. The emissions of all the fuels we burn clogs up the atmosphere of the earth like a blanket and heats the earth up more than it would if we didn’t burn fossil fuels because it doesn’t allow gasses to escape out into the atmosphere. With the air heating up and getting warmer, the water temperatures are heating up to, which is very bad for trout who have evolved to only live in cool water; trout are uncomfortable in water above about 20°C. When water temperature heats up it doesn’t allow oxygen to dissolve into the water like it should,…

Roosevelt, “The test of our progress is not whether we add more to the abundance of those who have much it is whether we provide enough for those who have little.” (brainyquote.com), the solution to providing affordable, clean electricity to all of humanity lies in nuclear power. Nuclear power should replace the need for all other forms of energy because the power plants deliver more energy, are better for the environment, and generate less waste than any other form of power.
