Argumentative Essay: Why Marijuana Should Be Legal

Did you know that marijuana is the most commonly illegal drug used as of today? There has been a controversial argument over wether marijuana should be legalized or not. This particular issue that I’m about to expand on will specifically falls under the topic of individual conscience versus the authority of the law. In this specific case I believe that the authority of the law should prevail over the individual conscience of people in other words marijuana should be illegal in my opinion due to many reasons. Many people everyday get arrested for using marijuana and they put their own life at stake by smoking marijuana. Marijuana users proven by a study tend to lie more often and steal in some cases to buy the drug.
