Who are the millennials? Are they who people said they are? Millenial by definition is a generation that come after generation X, which got named generation Y. They are born from the early 1980s to the 2000 (Bradley). Many people also prefer them by the me, me, me generation because they are selfish and self center. Despite they are selfish and self center, they are unique. They take chances that the older generation wouldn’t dare to take. Put themselves out there to see everything and to learn everything they could. Adapt to new environment and new people. I’m a millennial and I agree with this because I can see it in myself. Many generation before the millennials dream to have nice cars and home. But all they do is dream for it, they don’t actually want to put in the work to make it come true.According to Key Armin Serjoie and Joel Stein, authors of the article Millennials: The Me Me Me Generation, “They’re earnest and optimistic. They embrace the system. They are pragmatic idealists, tinkerers more than dreamers, life hackers”(Serjoie and Stein 4). This show that we as millennials are doers not just dreamers. We will work for what we want. Millennials will set a goal for themselves and work really hard to reach that goal. As life hackers, millennials were able to do something hard with the least amount of time. All the shortcuts we find can cut a huge amount of time that you will spend on something. Like I have said before we have technology that can do our jobs in second. I’m not much of a dreamer because I know what I can do and can’t do. In the Youtube video Millennials: We Suck and We 're Sorry Stephen Parkhurst states “We suck and we know it, we’re self-center, entitled, narcissistic, lazy and immature. And we’re super sorry…”(Parkhurst). MIllennials are so immature and lazy because we get whatever we want without lifting a finger. Back in the time before the millennial, teen have to get jobs to make money if they want to buy something that they want. Now teens will ask their parents for the things that they want, and parents will happily buy it for them. Teens, nowadays will never know what it is like to not have a cell phone by their side of all time. They will think that they received a notification but they didn’t. Serjoie and Stein, authors of the article Millennials: The Me Me Me Generation reveals “Seventy percent of them check their phones every hour, and many experience phantom pocket-vibration syndrome”(Serjoie and Stein 2). I know this is true because I have it. Sometime my phone will vibrate, I pick it up to check the notification but there weren’t any notifications. This didn’t happened only once, it happened multiple times. It scare me that I’m imagining things that aren’t
