The debate of torture was "Is torture ever justified?" Both the pro and negative debate team did their best showcasing the evidence they found to support their claims and rebuttals. However, the judges' final decision on who won the debate was the con team. The con team was able to showcase more evidence from credible sources and was able to debunk the claims and arguments the pro debaters had made. With all debaters introduced, the affirmative side stated their thesis, arguing that torture is justifiable because it prevents future terrible acts, get answers regarding terrorism and can save numerous lives.
