Within the American Anti-Vivisection Society’s website it was continuously brought up that animals will not mimic the same results as those tested on humans because animals are different to humans in almost every way and thus the results found are, usually, neither appropriate nor applicable to humans. This is proven within the second to last paragraph on the page, where it states that there are natural differences within the physiology, metabolism and anatomy of humans and animals which leads to very different reactions to various stimuli and even though the animal subjects may have mutated genes most of their body systems are still very different to ours, thus them having a very different result to tests than us. This is especially seen in figure 1 where 80% of the people surveyed said that they were uncomfortable with using animal tested products. In figures 2 and 3 though you can see that more people are willing to use medications that have been tested on animals than make-up that has been tested on animals.
