One morning Suzie wakes up and she is tired. She's tired of living. She is stressed out over school and sports and over making her parents proud of her all the time. Suzie always feels like she makes mistakes. So Suzie grabs her laptop and searches for ways to relieve the feelings and the stress. She comes across a web site about suicide. This web site has materials Suzie can use. Should Suzie use this site? Some people would agree to using this site, but others would disagree to using these types of sites, they want these sites taken down. This story in not uncommon. Suicide in the media in happening more often then people think. There is people trying to stop these sites from spreading and from growing bigger. The internet is growing and with that suicide is growing in the media. Since the first suicide that was traced back to the internet people have been trying to stop it. Th history of suicide in the media has been long and hard people have been debating for years whether these suicidal sites should be taken down or not. Those in favor of suicidal sites say that it is alright for suicidal people to go to the media for help, and for the materials they need, also that people have the right to take their own life with or without help from the internet. Others disapprove because this can hurt a lot of people, it shouldn’t be allowed because others can tie back to someone killing themselves, and that these sites cause a lot of damage to family's, to friends, to schools, and to life. In the end, both sides of this issue have made a huge impact on Suzie's life and on others lives around her. While Suzie's life was impacted on just one little media sites about suicide.
