The Purple Heart is the medal and previllage to be awarded to veterans. There is an issue of what types of injuries should be inclouded to qualify the Purple Heart. Some people insist that only physical injuries should be considered as honorable illnesses for the medal.
They claim that the psychological symptoms are not caused by enermy action and they are not easy to diagnose objectively.On the other hand, others argues that psychological injuries are as severe and long-lasting as shedding blood injuries , so they should be regarded as the honorable illnesses.
