Argumentative Essay: The New Ghostbusters

If you've been on Twitter, Facebook, any number of clickbait websites, you've probably noticed that the new Ghostbusters trailer has been posted. I have been pretty indifferent to the whole thing ever since the original cast has pretty much had nothing to do with it. The big thing that will slap everyone that has a criticism about the film is that the new cast is female. That has nothing to do with a movie being good or not. Sure, there are probably those Men's Rights douche bags that will complain that it should be an all male cast, but the thing about that is no one cares about what those people have to say.

Leslie Jones runs to help whilst screaming)

Leslie Jones -- "Oh haaail naw! The Devil is a (inaudible)! "Get outta my friend, ghost!"

(Leslie Jones slaps McCarthy in the face)

Melissa McCarthy -- "Ow, that's gonna leave a mark!"

Leslie Jones -- "The power of Patty compels you! (Slaps again)"

Yeah, that's from the trailer, but it was just one of the bad moments of the trailer. I have already judged a movie more than I should considering this is only the first trailer, but it just seems like a crappy reboot made for no reason other than to make money. I know that's why all movies are made, but this one is a bit too obvious. Might as well reboot Die Hard... oh, wait. They're already doing that.

Ghostbusters is directed by Paul Feig and written by Katie Dippold and Feig. It stars Melissa McCarthy, Kristen Wiig, Kate McKinnon, and Leslie Jones as the title characters. The film is scheduled for a July 15, 2016 release.

To accurately depict the overarching qualities of Northwestern which I find most intriguing, it is easiest to provide a line from the university’s president, Morton Shapiro, on why the university stands out from their competitors. While emphasizing the school’s motivated approach to maximizing attention toward undergraduate students, Shapiro professed that the school’s “focus on undergrads without losing the identity as a great research institute” is a quality that sets Northwestern apart. This ideal, which is a crucial part of Northwestern’s identity, makes it all the more captivating. In the majority of colleges I have researched during my prodigious quest for the perfect university, I found that their “commitment to every student” was…

However, one article presents itself better than the rest. I believe that the article “Soda’s a Problem, but...” was the most convincing article. Sarah Conly- the author who wrote “Three Cheers for the Nanny State”- argues that the soda restriction is a good idea because people would be stopped from making foolish decisions that they’ll pretty definitely regret.…

Hungry for Change Why is it that law mandates public school meals have a minimum calorie intake, but not a maximum? This owes itself to the fact that when nutrition standards were established for public schools, it was to solve the problem of undernourishment. The majority of school aged children used to walk to school, played more outside, and were more active in sports. This resulted in children burning more calories than school meals provided.…
