Negative effects of an abortion
An average 1.2 million abortions happen every year in the U.S. alone (“Abortion Clinics” para 15). That is a very big number; therefore, many people do not realize there is that many abortions in one year ,and how many lives that have been lost from an abortion. Every woman is different when it comes to an abortion. Many risks to an abortion can be emotional effects and physical effects.
Every women that has got an abortion have had physical effects. After an abortion a woman will experience some period-type pains and vaginal bleeding (“Abortion” NHS para 6). After an abortion, a woman's period should return after about 4-6 weeks (“Possible” para 3). An abortion can cause infection of not prevented by medication

Facts should be known by women before getting an abortion. Facts such as complications that occur in fewer than 1 out of 100 in the first trimester and about 1 out of every 50 late term abortions (“Possible” para 8). Most risks after an abortion are rare and can even occur during childbirth (“Possible” para 10). Most women who get an abortion will not have any complications, and they are normally safe (“Abortion” NHS para 1). The longer the women waits in an abortion the higher the risks (“Abortion” NHS para 2). An infection of the womb occurs up to in in every 10 abortions. Some of the pregnancy remains in the womb occurs up to 1 in every 20 abortions. Continent of the pregnancy occurs in less than 1 in every 100 abortions (“Abortion” NHS para 3). Excessive bleeding occurs in every 1,000 abortions. Damage of the entrance to the cervix occurs in up to 1 in every 100 surgical abortions. Damage to the womb occurs in 1 in every 250 to surgical abortions and less than 1 in 1,000 medical abortions carried out at 12 to 24 weeks (“Abortion” NHS para 3). And 33% of women in America have chosen to have an Abortion (“Abortion Clinics” para 17). Women who believe that the fetus inside then are not human yet have a less chance of having emotional effects (“Abortion Emotional” para 3).
