Argumentative Essay: The Murder Of Cherri West

Cherri West had to live through hearing the words your daughter has been murdered two times after losing her 10-year-old daughter, Pamela Butler, in 1999, and 34-year-old Casey Eaton, who was recently killed.

West's heartbreak began when Butler was kidnapped from her front yard. She was thrown in the back of a truck, raped and later found dead. According to FOX4kc, West said Eaton, then a teenager, was the one who ran after her sister, trying to save her:

"She was screaming down the street, and that's where the neighbor on the next block come down and started chasing the truck and lost it, but he got the tag number for us."
People reported Keith D. Nelson is now on death row, following his conviction in the 10-year-old's kidnapping, rape and death.

He faces second-degree murder and criminal possession of a firearm charges.

West said "I'm lost, really. I just want to think it's a nightmare, but I know it's not. I know it's true." The mother also knows she has to face the legal proceedings once again. She told FOX4kc:

"I'm still going through Pammy's court hearings and things like that, It hasn't ended yet. I'm still dealing with that. And now to have to go through another daughter's murder trial, and do this all over again, and have two of them to deal with, it's going to be hard. It's really going to be hard."
Now, the mother is trying to rebuild her life after Eaton's death. West said she's handling the tragic loss of her second child:

"One day at a time, and a lot of prayer into the sky."
According to KMBC, West has her family by her side as she begins to heal, and looks to the heavens with a wish for both of her daughters:

"Wrap your arms around each other and fly high."
Eaton leaves behind two daughter's, two son's and a grandchild.
