They argue that perhaps it could have been like the British colonies like Canada and Australia eventually did. I personally do not believe that we could have achieved our independence or obtained our Constitution or Bill of Rights or our Government in a more gradual and peaceful process. Canada basically became a country after France lost the 7 year war and for the most part left their political interests in Canada. Great Britain became economically and politically stressed after several wars. After the Revolutionary war and the war of 1812 Britain allowed the northern borders of the United States and Canada to be where they are today and concentrated on their Canadian colonies after the treaty of Ghent. Australia had a long history of different peoples who immigrated to colonize or live there. Britain established a …show more content…
I don’t believe our country would have been a powerful world recognized leader. Would we have been a strong ally in WWI. Would we even have had the ability to have a strong militia or the economic strength to send forces overseas? Would we have been respected and powerful enough to help to suppress a tyrannical Hitler in WWII? How would the face of the world been different if Americans didn’t have the strength and driving conviction built upon a tradition of independence. Americans have a fierce loyalty to their nation, flag and freedoms. Americans also have a deep sense of reaching out and changing the world not only by force but by humanitarian service and aid. Even in the wake of defeating a nation in a war we are among the first to help rebuild and strengthen another nation. No other nation has spent so much money to help other countries and causes in the world than the United

America is seen as this almighty force that fought against the injustice of their system controlled by the seemingly overbearing British. Their forms of government have fundamentally differed for quite some time which of course can explain a motive for separation. The journey to departure was not at all easy and completely involved rotating in monotonous circles. Before colonists officially created a document that justified what they were actually fighting for America was in a civil war. No American document besides the Declaration of Independence has created such an impact in government and society, but were the arguments actually valid?…

Imagine going through your life with no equality, and the person next to you had the freedom of things that you didn’t have, or if you didn’t have the right to your own life and happiness, or even if you couldn’t adjust your leaders when they begin to destruct. The American Revolution necessary for independence and freedom according to the Americans. The reasons as to why they needed to leave the British empire was indeed necessary, but did it really fix anything for American? In my opinion “The American Revolution” was not very revolutionary for the U.S and the citizens. The U.S. was in debt, no rights changed for women and slaves, and U.S. was not united after the Revolution so nothing really changed for the Americans after the war.…

Jefferson believed that the people have the right to change the system if it fails to abide by these rights. As shown in these documents, the United States is on its way to fulfill the terms expressed in the Declaration of Independence. Document A is about how J. The Declaration of Independence was written for two main reasons to them was just and right in the eyes of God. The Declaration, would be their ticket to freedom in their own land and why they were declaring their freedom from the British. In this document or as some would say a contract; would legally give them that freedom and it would have to be honored. It also was written to show reasons why the colonies felt their freedom was deserved and as humans justified. This would allow them to make their own laws, worship under different religions, and profit from their own labor and goods.…

In the 2014 Super Bowl against the Indianapolis Colts, the New England Patriots were accused of fixing the game to their advantage. There was evidence that the Patriots did indeed cheat, but there is also evidence defending them. This article’s purpose is not to say the New England Patriots did not cheat.…

I think that, at the time, the colonists were not wise to declare independence from Great Britain for three reasons: the colonist’s militia would not have stood a chance against the British army, the economy of the colonies was just fine, and a war could have been prevented. At the time, the colonists militia was meagre and notwithstanding. As we know, Great Britain was the most powerful country in the entire world at that time in terms of political, economic, and militaristic power. If the colonies were to remove themselves from an alliance with this kind of power, they would have no chance. The colonists took a chance and got lucky with their choice.…

Manifest Destiny is “the 19th-century doctrine or belief that the expansion of the US throughout the American continents was both justified and inevitable.” Which means, that even when we kicked Indians out of their own land, it was okay. From financial expenses to the loss of rich history, it comes to great cost to separate and become an independent country. On the other hand, becoming an independent country can allow its people to have a powerful say in the politics, rather than being alienated when one should rightly be involved in the politics governing one’s province. However, considering both issues, Canada should not separate because it is a country that functions by depending on the advantages and differences each province has to offer. Although Ontario generates 37% of the national GDP and is a substantial part of the North American manufacturing, (“About Ontario”) it wouldn't have been able to reach this favorable economy without the support and the advantages its…
