The image depicts death penalty as revengeful, illogical, ineffective, discriminatory, irrevocably unjust, non-rehabilitating, expensive and simply unnecessary. On the aspect of it being revengeful and non-rehabilitation, most times the families of the victims who lost a loved one just want retribution, they attain to seek closure or resolution from the case. At the end of the day after all been said and done it makes the healing process a lot harder for most families that had lost a loved one, they do not get the closure they sought after when the execution has finally been carried out. The death penalty also portrayed as being ineffective; according to the 2013 FBI crime report in the DPIC, the south has the highest murder rate and also contributes for about eighty percent of the executions. Compared to the Northeast that has the lowest murder rate and less than one percent of all the executions. It shows that the death penalty is not doing much to stop murder and crime in regions that uphold it. It
