Some people believe that there shouldn’t be sports in schools because they cost too much. I believe that even though the sports might cost a lot that there should still be sports in schools. Many people think that sports cost too much because of the cost for uniforms, lessons, and the equipment needed for the sports. All of these do cost a lot of money but I believe that there should still be sports in middle school, high school and college. I agree with the people who say that sports cost too much, but I still believe that just because they cost too much doesn’t mean that we shouldn’t have competitive sports in schools.

For baseball, “Easton bats cost $450 per bat.” But, there can be benefits to this. Many people don’t realize that. The schools also go into this. “Some schools rely only on fundraising.” Schools all around the world have different fundraisers so that it isn’t just the parents of the kids who have to pay. Grandparents, aunts, uncles, etc., all pitch in money for fundraisers. “Youth jerseys cost $25-$45 (unlettered, blank). Adult jerseys cost $30-$60 (unlettered, blank).” If you choose to buy a uniform that isn’t blank, it can “cost $450”. Many people don’t like that idea. Except they don’t see something that other people see. “Gymnastics uniforms can cost $1,200”. If you buy a uniform you can hand this down to other people. If you have a younger sibling you can give the jersey to them. If you don’t have a younger sibling, or a sibling who doesn’t want to play that sport, you can always give it to a cousin, or even a family friend that goes to that school. You could also sell it at a garage sale or on the internet. What I’m saying is, just because uniform can get really expensive doesn’t mean that there shouldn’t be
