Argumentative Essay: The Art Of Photograp Photography

Some people in the world say that photography is not art because anyone can take photos. In my opinion, I would say that Photography is art. People say that it is not because it’s just too easy, or that camera makes the image and that basically anyone can do it. But art through photography is not easy at all. The photographer is creating the photographs. The camera records the images, but the photographer is the one that is capturing the emotion and the beauty of the moment. Photography is art, that is a fact. Like some people say beauty is in the eye of the beholder and yet some people just don't like that medium. Just because you don't like it as much as, say for example, a painting, doesn't automatically make it not an art form. There is so much that goes into taking a picture for people that makes it an art. People seem to forget that so many things can be considered art. The science that goes behind taking some of these beautifully intrinsic photographs requires passion for it and lots of dedication. Art is an expression. It is the creation of imagery that is meant to provoke thought and emotion through which the careful assembly of visual elements that serve to tell a viewer the stories of its creation. This, without a doubt is my favorite professional work of photography, titled Candy Cigarette, by Sally Mann. I would say she is my one of my favorite photographers. She embodies my concept of an artist. Her craft is just engrained into every facet of her life. She is one of the most powerfully emotive photographers who ever worked.
